Working in the Channel Islands

Relocation Assistance to the Channel Islands
If you choose to undertake locum work in the Channel Islands, you will receive numerous relocation benefits including transport both on and off the island at the start and end of your contract, as well as paying to ferry your car over - should you decide to do so. However, the local authority has their own pool cars that can be used. Accommodation will also be sourced on your behalf which will be heavily subsidised by the council to bring the living costs down (£103-£157 per week for housing depending on house share).

Interview Stage
This is a really simple process! You will normally have two options - telephone interview or Skype interview. Upon successful interview, you will be given a start date with paid for return flights.

About the Channel Islands
With award-winning beaches and beautiful coastlines, the Channel Islands is a perfect relocation option for social work practitioners looking for a change of scenery. Classed as the sunniest place in the British Isles, these stunning islands offer attractions for short-term or long-term agency work.

Out of working hours, you can enjoy a number of top attractions across the Island including St Elizabeth Castle in Jersey and the Grand Grève on the Island of Sark which wouldn't look out of a place on a Greek Island. The island of Alderney is a dream for those that enjoy fishing as a hobbie, with the option of coarse and sea fishing.

Social care professionals on the island form a tight-knitted community with regular, organised activities such as canoeing and beach BBQ's!
