Today (13th March 2015) marks the official launch of Healthcare Science Week 2015, a week designed to raise awareness of, and educate people about the variety of job roles undertaken by healthcare science staff, and the impact that they have on frontline healthcare.

The week, which takes place from 13-22nd March, will feature ambassadors from across the profession working hard to inspire a new generation of healthcare science employees. With science and technology continuing to improve modern patient care, HCS professionals play a vital role in the ongoing support of patient’s lives.

Speaking about the week, Lee Emmett from Sanctuary Health said: “Healthcare science professionals play a vital role in improving patient’s lives, but they are often unrecognised so it is fantastic that initiatives such as this raise awareness of the work that they do. With science and technology continuing to make breakthroughs in medical care, these professionals will continue to provide essential support to frontline healthcare staff, and we will be celebrating the work that they do throughout the week.”

Sanctuary Health offers a variety of locum healthcare science positions, with opportunities available in biomedical science, clinical science and medical lab assistant jobs available.
