Sanctuary Social Care has a permanent vacancy available for a team manager to work full time within a safeguarding adults and DoLs team based in Waltham Forest. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in adult services and be registered with the HCPC.

The salary for this role is £43,734 - £46,578 per annum.

Duties:
- Reporting to the Head of Service for Safeguarding Adults and Dols you will manage a motivated team, maintaining and developing a professional and high quality service to meet all Council, professional and legislative requirements.
- You will manage the performance and development of staff in your team. You will ensure our service delivery appropriately supports adults and carers to meet their outcome(s), optimises the safety and wellbeing of adults in accordance with our robust Safeguarding Adult policies and procedures, and ensures no unlawful deprivation of liberty takes place.

The team is dynamic and provides specialist Safeguarding Adult advice and guidance in accordance with The Care Act 2014, PAN London Safeguarding Adults Policies and Procedures, local London Borough of Waltham Forest (LBWF) operational policies and procedures, and best practice guidance. While Safeguarding Adult Enquiries are not undertaken by the Safeguarding Adults and Dols Service, the Service assumes the role of Safeguarding Adults Enquiry Officer and Safeguarding Adult Manager for complex and/or large scale enquiries.

The team quality assures Safeguarding Adult activity in LBWF Adult Social Care, supports with ongoing developments in local policies and procedures and carries out work to support the strategic objectives of the LBWF Safeguarding Adults Board.

Requirements of the team manager:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within adult services
- Management experience
