Sanctuary Social Care currently has a permanent vacancy based in Bexley for a team manager to work within a staying together team full-time. As the post holder of this role, you will receive a competitive salary of £45,294 - £51,777 per annum.

Responsibilities of the team manager:
- To keep abreast of changing contexts at local and national level, and take account of these in social work practice, modelling the social work role and providing leadership to the team.
- To lead the development and implementation of innovative ways of working, taking into account research and experience across directorates
- To provide specialised professional support and advice to staff and other agencies relating to supporting children looked after and in court proceedings.
- To act as a point of liaison in relation to other agencies, to ensure that a multi-disciplinary approach is maintained in respect of children' welfare involved in Looked After Children, and those subject to proceedings.
- To provide expert professional advice and support in relation to all casework; ensuring the team is fully compliant with the law, ensuring legal advice is taken and acted upon as required and representing the Council and presenting casework evidence and information in court as required.
- Set practice standards to achieve a minimum of good by Ofsted requirements Implementation
- To manage a team of staff, including recruitment/retention, induction, training and development, performance management, disciplinary/capability, and succession planning;
- To provide high quality induction, reflective professional supervision and appraisal to direct

Requirements of the team manager:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
