Sanctuary Social Care currently has a permanent vacancy based in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham for a supervising social worker within a fostering team. As the post holder of this role, you will receive a competitive salary of £39,338 - £43,229 per annum.

Responsibilities of the supervising social worker:
- Keeping accurate and detailed records in accordance with agency policy.
Supervision of non-qualified support staff.
- Contributing to the decision-taking process e.g. attend statutory reviews, conferences and other meetings, to attend court when required.
- Liaising closely with Social Workers from the placing authority. To ensure there is a two-way flow of information.
- Ensuring that the agency's responsibilities in terms of the child's care plan are implemented.
- Supporting, advising and guiding carers in all aspects of their care of a child.

Requirements of the supervising social worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
