    Sanctuary Executive is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Strategic Direct Payments Lead to fill a full-time role based in Hackney.

    The pay rate for this locum Strategic Direct Payments Lead job is £450 per day (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.

    Main purpose of the role:
    - As the strategic lead for Direct Payments you will be responsible for the overall planning and monitoring the work of the team, which enables the successful delivery of its business objectives. This includes responsibility for the effective supervision of staff to deliver high quality, person-centred services.
    - To have overall lead responsibility for the development, implementation and strategic management of Direct Payments in Hackney by creating and delivering customer focused and performance-oriented services that meet the diverse needs of communities in Hackney in line with legislative requirements.
    - Overseeing a significant review of the end-to-end Direct Payments process for Adults Services, to include developing a set of recommendations with associated action plan. The post holder will be required to oversee and deliver the proposed changes, transforming the service to ensure that is delivering a high quality, personalised service for the people of Hackney.
    - Delivering a programme of change and transformation focussed on enhancing our personalisation offer in Hackney. This will involve influencing and shaping the strategic direction of the service, including working with partners across health and social care services on key initiatives such as personal health budgets.
    - To ensure that the operational Direct Payments team has robust and efficient processes and procedures and policies which govern the service and to be responsible for ensuring that these are updated and maintained these in line with emerging national policy and best practice.

    Main areas of responsibility:
    - Strategic Development of the Operational Direct Payments function.
    - Development of Self-Directed Support and Personalisation in Hackney.
    - Management of the Direct Payments Team

    Requirements:
    Experience Required:
    - Knowledge and understanding of adult social care services.
    - Experience of leading a team through a significant transformation.
    - Experience of performance management.
    - Experience of providing strong and effective leadership to individuals and team(s).
    - Experience of managing improvement projects and service change, from planning and inception through to delivery and evaluation.
    - Experience of developing a performance orientated approach and culture.
    - Experience of budget management and/or analysis of financial information.

    Knowledge Required:
    - An in-depth knowledge of Direct Payments, the processes and the legislation guiding the practice.
    - Detailed knowledge and understanding of the legislation related to Personalisation and Direct Payments in particular, as well as the Care Act (2014).
    - Knowledge of employment legislation.
    - Knowledge of project management methodologies and service improvement frameworks.
