    Specialist Social Worker, Fostering

    Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated specialist social worker to work within a fostering team based in Durham on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

    The pay rate for this locum specialist social worker job is to be confirmed and is an initial 3-month contract.

    Responsibilities of the specialist social worker:
    - Hold a case load of foster carers as direct and deal with them effectively and efficiently to ensure those children at risk of harm are protected where this is necessary
    - Maintain and update case notes and other records
    - Undertake other duties which might be reasonably requested by the manager

    Requirements of the specialist social worker:
    - Degree or equivalent in social work
    - Current HCPC registration
    - Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
