Social Worker, Project Increasing Independence

Job reference: HQ00084500
Up to £32.00 per hour
Social Worker

This vacancy has now expired.

Are you passionate about developing your social work career?

Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker to work full-time as a project increasing independence team based in Islington. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in adult services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum social worker job is £32 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.

This project is designed to empower their service user population and decrease care packages where it is felt that this could be more beneficial to the service user. The service has already identified a number of service users who they would like to engage, in most cases, they are service users where they have small care packages that they may no longer need due to ongoing recovery, and in some cases they are large care packages which it may be appropriate to reduce for similar reasons.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent and empathetic communicator who can put service users at their ease at a time when they may be worried about their changing circumstances, as well as being confident liaising with commissioners and MDT/Hospital teams.

Requirements of the social worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within adult services
- Knowledge of Manual handling practices is essential
- Confidence using LAS will be particularly desirable
