Social Worker, Older People/Mental Health

Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker to work full time within an older people's / mental health team based in Newton Abbot. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in adult services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum social worker job is to be confirmed and is an initial 3-month contract

Responsibilities of the social worker:
- To deliver a Social Work Service to individual clients/families/groups in keeping with social, emotional and community dimensions of the care of people with mental health problems including dementia and their carers
- To be responsible to the Team Leader for direct provision of appropriate services, in accordance with the policy of Northern Trust
- To devise appropriate packages of care, which effectively harness statutory, voluntary, community and family resources to complement and supplement the services provided by Northern Health and Social Care Trust

Requirements of the social worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within adult services
