Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker to work within an older people team based in Caerphilly. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in adult services.

The pay rate for this locum social worker job is £27.50 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.

Those who find working with older people and their carers rewarding would be welcome as the team works with individuals over the age of 65 years.

The team consists of social workers, senior practitioners, a senior Social worker and team manager.

Duties:
- To provide social work operational cover on the teams duty system and respond to crisis
- To undertake assessments & reviews and arrange appropriate care and support within the context of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014
- To undertake Mental capacity assessments and make best interest decisions
- To Assess and manage risks to individuals, families, carers and safeguard them from potential abuse
- To manage, present and share records and reports
- To work within multi-disciplinary and multi-organisational teams, networks and systems

Requirements of the social worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Significant senior level frontline experience within adult services
- Current CCW registration
- Must be a car driver
