Social Worker, No Recourse to Public Funds

Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker to fill a full-time role in a no recourse to public funds team based in Barking and Dagenham. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum social worker job is to be confirmed and is an initial 3 month contract.

Responsibilities for the social worker:
- Investigate complaints of alleged neglect, abuse or ill treatment of children, undertaking assessments and where appropriate arranging accommodation for children and young people
- Assessing children with their families who may require a social work service and investigating reports that children are suffering or are likely to suffer harm
- Working closely with colleagues across the council and external agencies in order to gather information relevant to assessment and care planning activities

Requirements of a social worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
