    Description

    Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker to work full-time within a community mental health team in Reading. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in adult services and be registered with the HCPC.

    The pay rate for this locum social worker job is £32 - £35 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.

    Responsibilities of the social worker:
    - To be able to undertake complex needs led assessments and reviews of service users and carers, demonstrating a commitment to the safeguarding of adults potentially at risk of abuse, leading on relevant procedures where appropriate.
    - To be able to assess and record individuals mental capacity and follow up appropriate processes when providing services or interventions to an individual who lacks capacity to make decisions .
    - To undertake Best Interest Assessments (BIA) as part of the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS) .
    - To carry out Safeguarding enquiry investigations and section 42 enquires, in line with current national and local policies .
    - To prepare detailed information about client need and resources required for consideration by appropriate management authority.

    Requirements of the social worker:
    - Degree or equivalent in social work
    - Current HCPC registration
    - Significant senior level frontline experience within adult services
    - Car driver
    - Must have 2+ years experience
