Social Worker, Leaving Care

Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker to work full time within a leaving care team based in Tower Hamlets. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum social worker job is £30 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3 month contract.

Responsibilities of the social worker:
- To maintain a knowledge and awareness of legislation and departmental policies and procedures, and to work within these
- To attend supervision meeting with delegated supervisor
- To keep file records up to date using the Department's recording guidelines
- To work in partnership with children and parents maintaining an open records policy
- To work with appropriate information technology in order to maintain effective administrative systems and efficient monitoring of work.

Requirements of the social worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
