Social Worker, Fostering Recruitment
Permanent | Torquay | Salary of £30,152 - £36,379 per annum

Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker to work within a fostering recruitment service in Torquay. The ideal candidate will possess specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The salary for this social worker job is £30,152 - £36,379 per annum.

List Key Duties and accountabilities of the post
- Responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children at all times.
- To initiate appropriate safeguarding action to protect children and young people at risk of significant harm.
- To work within childcare legislation and National Fostering Standards to ensure the life chances of young people are promoted.
- To carry out detailed assessment of potential Foster Carers.
- To take part in and deliver training to potential Foster Carers and approved Foster Carers.
- To visit Foster Carers and their families in their homes as part of the assessment process.

Requirements of the social worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant experience within children's services
