Social Worker, Fostering

Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker to work part time within a fostering team based in West Midlands. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum social worker job is to be confirmed and is an initial 3 month contract.

Responsibilities of the social worker:
- Ensuring that all work is completed within the stated timescales in accordance with both national and local policy
- Manging a mixed caseload, including challenging cases that involve vulnerable children and families with complex problems
- Undertake safeguarding investigations, attend strategy meetings, case conferences and reviews as required, and if appropriate perform the lead professional role.

Requirements of the social worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
- Experience of completing fostering and SGO assessments
