    Description

    Social Worker, Fostering Assessment and Support Team

    Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker to work full time within a fostering assessment and support team based in Somerset. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

    The pay rate for this fostering assessment and support team job is £31 (LTD Company Equivalent) per hour and is an initial 6 month contract.

    Responsibilities of the social worker:
    - Providing regular support and supervision for approved foster carers.
    - Liaising with other professionals and agencies, setting up new placements for Looked After Children (LAC).
    - Undertaking fostering duty on a rota basis.
    - Providing reports for a range of review meetings

    Requirements of the social worker:
    - Degree or equivalent in social work
    - Current HCPC registration
    - Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
