Social worker, Children's Safeguarding

Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker to work full time within a children's safeguarding team based in Kingston. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the SSSC.

The pay rate for this locum social worker job is £30 - £34 (LTD Company Equivalent) per hour and is an initial 3 month contract.

Responsibilities of the social worker:
- Delivering good outcomes for children through taking referrals, completing timely assessments and implementing effective service plans that safeguard children
- Undertaking case management responsibilities that include child-focused assessments of need within a person-centred approach, monitoring, co-ordinating and review of care plans
- Taking part in team duty systems providing an immediate and responsive service as the need arises in emergency work

Requirements of the social worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current SSSC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
- Must have recent experience of working with children and their families in a safeguarding capacity
