Would you like to work as a social worker in the South West?

Skylakes Children's Services require a social worker to join their Edge Of Care Project for a Local Authority based in the South West. 

The starting pay rate for this locum social worker job is £30 (LTD Company Equivalent) per hour and is an initial 3 month contract.

You will be an experienced practitioner with at least 4 years' statutory experience, including working with children on the edge of care.

You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team which includes a family support worker, family group conference co-ordinator, and youth participation mentors to build positive relationships and deliver proactive, timely intervention to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and young people on the edge of care.

- 1 day each week protected time working from home
- Holding a caseload of 13 children aged between 11 and 17 years, who will stay allocated to you for the duration of the project
- Access to alternative therapy resources
- 37 hours per week, £30 p/h (LTD) outside IR35
- Claim up to 150 miles a week
- Mobile phone provided
- Dedicated administrative support staff

The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

Requirements of the social worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
