Social Worker, Children in Need Help & Protection

Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker to work full time within a children in need help and protection team based in Aylesbury. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum social worker job is £30 - £35 (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3 month contract.

- To work as part of the duty system.
- To undertake assessments in conjunction with the service user, their parents or carers and other agencies
- To promote the welfare of children and young people in accordance with the Children's Act 1989 criteria, and taking account of other relevant legislation as appropriate.
- To ensure that the views of children and young people are represented at each stage throughout the process.

Requirements of the social worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
