Social Workers, Children in Care

Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker to work full time within a children in care team based in Fareham and Gosport. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum social worker job is £28.26 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3 month contract.

Responsibilities of the social worker:
- To maintain awareness of current legislative requirements as relating to children and to participate in relevant training
- To prepare court statements when required, and give evidence in court
- To maintain accurate and full records of contact and interventions with service users in line with the department's policies and procedures
- To ensure that where it is not possible for a child or young person to return to live with their family, that a permanent alternative placement is provided within the relevant timescales

Requirements of the social worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
