    Social Worker, Child Protection Safeguarding

    Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker to work full time within a child protection safeguarding team based in Kingston Upon Thames. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

    The pay rate for this locum social worker job is to be confirmed and is an initial 3 month contract.

    Responsibilities of the social worker:
    - Safeguard and promote the welfare of young people, giving due consideration to their race, culture, religion and linguistic background
    - Managing an agreed caseload of children and young people in compliance with casework objectives, statutory and departmental policy and procedural requirements
    - Working to range of legal options to support investigation and protection and accommodation

    Requirements of the social worker:
    - Degree or equivalent in social work
    - Current HCPC registration
    - Must have 2 years post qualified experience within child protection
    - Must own a car and be able to drive
