Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for a Service Manager to work within a Looked After Children's Placement Service based in Blackpool. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this permanent Service Manager job is £55,423 - £61,322 per annum.

Responsibilities of the Service Manager:
- The service consists of Senior Team Managers, Child Protection Chairs and Independent Reviewing Officers, who undertake Child Protection Conferences and Children in our Care Reviews.
- This role also includes responsibilities for the Children's Designated Officer function, undertaking quality audits in line with Blackpool's Quality Assurance and Learning Improvement Frameworks and overseeing performance of the service in line with statutory requirements.
- This role is responsible for leading the SQR Service to deliver upon their Service Improvement Plan, improving the quality of practice and supporting Blackpool's children to be safe and achieve positive and improved outcomes.

Requirements of the Service Manager:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
- Significant experience of managing and leading services within Children's Social Care and experience of working as a Child Protection Chair and Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO).
- Knowledge of applying statutory guidance and legislation is essential.
- Candidates will be required to evidence effective management and leadership skills.
