    Description

    Sanctuary Social Care currently has a permanent vacancy for a senior practitioner to work full-time within a children with disabilities team in Birmingham. As the post holder of this role, you will receive a competitive salary of £37,106 - £44,846 per annum.

    Duties:
    - To provide a lead role in improving the quality of professional social work practice across the breadth of the case work cycle to children, young people and their families.
    - To undertake complex casework arising within the children and families service.
    - To provide a needs-led, professional social work service to children, young people and their families, complying with legislative requirements and in accordance with established best practice.
    - To be responsible for allocated cases including a complex caseload.
    - To provide technical/professional expertise to less experienced social workers.
    - To share/communicate a thorough working knowledge of relevant legislation, national standards, guidance, research, departmental policy and procedures.
    - To provide quality assurance and coaching/mentoring to work colleagues.
    - To take a 'joined-up' approach to ensuring the effectiveness of case working, actively promoting/encouraging effective partnership working with service users and other teams/agencies/organisations.
    - Participates in the regular collection, collation and reporting of appropriate performance management information in accordance with statutory and organisational requirements.
    - Actively participates in training and development activities.
    - Represents the Department in meetings etc as required.
    - Actively supports the Team Manager by undertaking any other duties commensurate with the job or needs of the service.

    Staff Benefits:
    - Golden Hello - £3,000 with candidates that have more than 3 years post qualification experience.
    - Retention Payment - £2,400 per annum paid quarterly at £600 per quarter to all qualified social work staff during their 3rd year of Trust employment and in subsequent years of employment subject to review and ongoing justification.
    - Relocation payment:
    - Grade 5 and above frontline social care professionals eligible to receive up to £8000 if they are moving within the boundaries of Birmingham; up to £4000 if moving to a commutable distance.
    - Grade 4 and those not eligible for the above are entitled to apply for the Trust's relocation package of up to £6000 same conditions apply.

    Requirements of the senior practitioner:
    - Degree or equivalent in social work
    - Current HCPC registration
    - Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
