Senior Practitioner, Children's Locality Team

Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated senior practitioner to work within a children's locality team based in Bexley. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum senior practitioner job is to be confirmed and is an initial 1-month contract.

Responsibilities of the senior practitioner:
- Work in partnership with peer across the service and represent the service to external agencies
- Hold a case load of the more complex and sensitive longer term cases as directed and deal with them effectively and efficiently to ensure those children at risk of harm are protected where this is necessary
- Make recommendations to the manager about the need for legal action about a child

Requirements of the senior practitioner:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
