Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Practitioner to work within a Children's Locality Team based in Bexley. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work Practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum Senior Practitioner job is £35 - £38 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 1-month contract.

Responsibilities of the Senior Practitioner:
- This is an experienced practitioner role, with specific responsibilities for managing the more complex, sensitive long-term cases identified from the referrals received from the MASH/Referral and Assessment Team.
- To chair meetings, including some reviews, core group meetings and planning meetings, to ensure care plans are in the best interests and safety of the child.
- To make recommendations to the manager about the need for legal action about a child.
- To maintain and update case notes and other records, write reports as required in accordance with policies and procedures
- To cover in the absence of the manager as required.
- To undertake other duties which might be reasonably requested by the manager.

Requirements of the Senior Practitioner:
- Degree or equivalent in Social Work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
