    Safeguarding Service Co-ordinator, Child Protection

    Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced safeguarding service co-ordinator to work in Surrey. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

    The pay rate for this locum service co-ordinator job is to be confirmed and is an initial 3 month contract.

    Responsibilities of the service co-ordinator:
    - Ensuring safe practice of all agencies working with children by advising operational and strategic managers on the management of allegations and coordinating risk management strategies
    - Personally chair meetings that involve high risk, high profile and highly complex meetings, including complex strategy meetings, secure accommodation reviews
    - Responsible for the effective information sharing in respect of child protection register enquiries, multi-agency networking, access to conference records, data on adults who pose a risk to children, Ofsted checks and missing children

    Requirements of the service co-ordinator:
    - Degree of equivalent professional qualification plus substantial experience at a senior management level in a specialist area
    - Comprehensive knowledge of computerised business systems
    - Experience in successful leading, coaching, mentoring and developing of staff
