Sanctuary Social Care has a job vacancy available for a Quality Assurance Manager to work full-time in Gloucestershire. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work practice in Children Services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this Quality Assurance Manager job is £40 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.

Main duties:
- To provide clear and effective chairing and leadership to Child Protection Conferences, Looked After Children Reviews, and LADO strategies as directed by the Quality Assurance & Reviewing Manager, to consider all relevant factors, identifying clear risk factors and strengths in the child's circumstances, and ensuring that a clear multi agency plan of action to safeguard and promote the child's welfare is agreed and understood by all.
- To ensure that all Child Protection Reviews are convened within the timescales and guidance provided by the Government and by Departmental procedures, and with regard to the CYP Plan priorities, and that accurate notes and records are kept and maintained in relation to these activities.
- To ensure that "permanency planning "is in place for Looked After children within agreed timescales, that statutory Care Plans are progressed and that timescales and expectations do not "drift".
- Where appropriate and in discussion with the Quality Assurance & Reviewing Manager to liaise with CAFCASS and the Courts to ensure compliance with Court agreed Care Plans for children where this is not being achieved and to provide guidance and support to the department on options to achieve this on an individual casework basis and in relation to strategic policy and planning.
- To critically evaluate the effectiveness of interagency case planning and to meet regularly with relevant managers to progress individual case issues, identify and address areas of concern, to challenge practice and standards, to improve individual case planning and improve overall standards across the service.
- To ensure the effective participation of children, young people and their families throughout the multi-agency decision making process, including facilitating advocacy and independent visiting services to ensure that the voices of children are heard and reflected in the delivery of services.
- To work as part of The Quality Assurance Team to develop and maintain an overview of the effectiveness of Interagency Safeguarding and Looked After processes and service delivery across the localities and other sections of the department, ensuring maintenance of consistency of thresholds for intervention.
- To take the lead in individual service and case audits, analysing compliance with standards and impact against the 5 outcomes for children and young people to provide written reports and presentations to managers and elected members containing aggregated analysis, interpretation of findings and recommendations for practice and strategic policy and planning.
- To develop expertise in at least one area of safeguarding practice, to inform policy and planning, and practice development and to continue to the delivery of training to staff across agencies.
- To analyse and summarise, as directed by the Unit Manager, guidance and regulations produced by Central Government and other National bodies, providing reports and recommendations to Senior Managers identifying implications for policy and planning and revising procedural guidance as required.
- Manage, lead, direct and control the work of Note-Takers, as allocated, to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.

- Recent experience within a similar role.
- Degree or equivalent in Social Work.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children Services
