    Are you interesting in developing your Social Work career?

    Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work in an Adults Disability Team based in Southend. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work practice in Adult Services and be registered with the HCPC.

    The Salary for this part time permanent contract is £31,371 - £36,876 per annum

    In the role:
    - Required for the adult learning disability team at Southend Council for an 18.5 - 22.5 hours per week role.
    - The Learning Disability team has statutory responsibility to complete assessments, provide support plans and services and to review these on a regular basis.
    - The successful social worker will undertake Care Act assessments and will support and review adults with a Learning Disability via Self Directed Support with a view to supporting them to achieve greater levels of independence and to achieve agreed outcomes.
    - You will have significant support from the Team Manager, two Practice Leaders and social work colleagues, many of whom have significant experience of working with adults with a Learning Disability.
    - The successful candidate will need to use a strengths-based approach to social work practice and will work closely with all partners across Health and Social Care, to ensure that there is effective coordination of interdependence's including the management of and resolution of risks and other issues that may arise.
    - The post holder will need to have excellent awareness of self and others and be able to work effectively with a range of staff groups and partners across the system.

    What you'll need to succeed
    - To be successful in this position you need to be HCPC registered and post 2 year qualified Social Worker with experience in Adults Knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, self-directed support, Liquid logic, NHS Continuing Healthcare and experience of undertaking safeguarding investigations, which is essential.


    Requirements of the Social Worker:
    - Degree or equivalent in Social Work.
    - Current HCPC registration.
    - Significant senior level frontline experience within Adult Services.
