Social Worker, Mental Health Team

Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker to work full time within a mental health team based in Reading. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in adult services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum social worker job is £30 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 2 month contract.

We are looking for someone who is able to undertake complex needs led assessments and reviews of service users and carers, demonstrating a commitment to the safeguarding of adults potentially at risk of abuse, leading on relevant procedures where appropriate.
- To ensure that service users and carers are involved in decision making concerning assessments/reviews, care/support plans to meet their needs
- To undertake contact, overview, specialist and comprehensive multidisciplinary assessments where required
- To act as care coordinator for individuals with enduring mental health diagnoses and work within recovery approach

Requirements of the social worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant frontline experience within adult services
