Principal Social Worker, Children and Families Assessment

Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated principal social worker to work full time within a children and families assessment team based in Wandsworth. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum principal social worker job is to be confirmed and is an initial 3 month contract.

Responsibilities of the principal social worker:
- Working as a member of the management team of the family service
- Carrying responsibility, under the guidance of the manager, for a specified caseload of support and intervention programmes and assessments of families
- Assisting the manager in the management of the service, including supervision of staff and developing the work of the service

Requirements of the principal social worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
