Practice Manager, Fostering and Adoption

Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated practice manager to work full time within a fostering and adoption team based in Preston. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum practice manager job is £32 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3 month contract.

The service recruits, trains and assesses a diverse range of prospective foster and adoption carers, carefully matching and placing children with approved carers who can meet their individual needs.

Practice Manager duties include:
- Supervising both formal and informal team members
- Managing the allocation of work to appropriate staff
- Delegating tasks to staff including senior practitioners as part of the duty function
- Working closely with child care social work teams to establish the placement needs of children

Requirements of the Practice Manager:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
