Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated practice manager to work full time within a safeguarding team based in Northamptonshire. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum practice manager job is £35 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.

Responsibilities of the practice manager:
- To manage an agreed number of the most complex and high profile cases of children and families in line with the service area specialism such as complex legal matters and statutory child protection assessments, ensuring compliance with legislation, and exceeding quality assurance and practice standards.
- To work alongside social workers and teams on specific cases, as a professional lead, where additional professional guidance and or mentoring is required to enable the allocated worker to effectively manage the case.
- To have the opportunity to remain 'hands on' with working with children and their families and will contribute to the development of service and practice within legislative and policy frameworks.
- Working within a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency context, to develop strong and effective working partnerships with other agencies and services involved with children and families, by providing a professional challenge, to ensure that positive outcomes are achieved in all key areas of their lives.
- To chair a range of meetings as appropriate to the role (complex case discussion, review meetings, planning meetings, and multi-agency meetings).
- To initiate and participate in developing, monitoring and reviewing systems within the team and contribute to training and work on professionals standards.
- Provide mentoring and support to staff needing additional support and guidance.

Requirements of the practice manager:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
- Minimum 2 years Safeguarding experience
- Experienced practitioner in care proceedings and child protection
- Must be a car driver
