    Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced Independent Reviewing Officer to work in Exeter on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

    The pay rate for this locum independent reviewing officer job is £41 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.

    Duties:
    - To work independently of operational or line management but in partnership with Children and Young Peoples service to undertake specialist tasks in the area of Child Protection and Children in Care.
    - To provide a monitoring and audit role in relation to multi-agency practice which will contribute to service improvement, quality assurance, performance management, training and development.
    - Chair child protection case conferences including strategy meetings and secure order meetings in accordance with 'Working Together' and Devon Child Protection procedures

    Requirements of the independent reviewing officer:
    - Degree or equivalent in social work
    - Current HCPC registration
    - Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
