Independent Chair

Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated independent chair to fill a full time role in Leatherhead. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The starting pay rate for this locum independent chair job is to be confirmed and is an initial 3 month contract.

Responsibilities of the independent chair:
- Support and encourage professional decision-making in others, to enable assessment procedures to be used discerningly in response to the presenting needs
- Maintain and provide expertise in specialist assessment and intervention and support others to develop these skills
- To contribute to and provide professional leadership of organisational change and development and address performance management issues that arise

Requirements of the independent chair:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
