Historical Child Abuse Officer

Responsibilities of the historical child abuse officer:
- Managing all relationships with former service users seeking advice or assistance in connection with allegations of past abuse
- Contributing to projects to evaluate risks in current service provision further to the understanding of the themes and patterns of historical child abuse
- Developing and maintaining a log and register of all allegations of historical child abuse and the actions taken around these allegations

Requirements of the historical child abuse officer:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
