Deputy Team Manager, Safeguarding Service

Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker to fill a deputy team manager role based in Bath. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum deputy team manager job is £36-£38 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is a 3+ month contract.

Responsibilities of the Deputy Team Manager:
- Providing managerial support covering CIN, CP, PLO, care proceedings, LAC
- Providing guidance and consultation on complex cases
- Investigating Complaints in accordance with corporate and divisional procedures
- Chairing Strategy Meetings, Pre-proceedings meetings
- Chairing Placement Stability meetings, Placement Transition meetings and Care Planning meetings
- Chairing other Professionals Meetings as required
- Attending court in care proceedings
- Overseeing Supervised Contact Service
- Accompanying Social Workers on home visits for monitoring and support purposes
- Duty Management
- Auditing files
- Quality assuring all work produced by the team
- Ensuring that policies and procedures are implemented
- Identifying and implementing staff training and development
- Ensuring that activities within the Council's safeguarding services are carried out to agreed service standards within available budgets, and in line with legislative, regulatory and national minimum standard requirements
- Ensuring that health and safety policy and procedures are adhered to for the protection of staff and service users
- Working within an equalities framework and ensured the implementation of safeguarding principles

Requirements of the deputy team manager:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
