    Deputy Team Manager, Looked after Children

    Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker to work full time as an deputy team manager within a looked after children team based in Luton. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

    The starting pay rate for this locum deputy team manager job is £34 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3 month contract.

    Deputy team manager duties include:
    - Undertaking development activities required for own development and experience e.g. court work, child protection, adoption and fostering
    - Ensuring the provision of an effective service to local people by maintaining high standards of professional practice and adopting a positive approach to the full involvement of service users
    - Holding a social work complex caseload as directed by the Team Manager, if appropriate to the needs of the team

    Requirements of the deputy team manager:
    - Degree or equivalent in social work
    - Current HCPC registration
    - Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
