Deputy Team Manager, Children and Families

Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated deputy team manager to work full time within a children and families team based in Newham. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum deputy team manager job is £38 (LTD Company Equivalent) per hour and is an initial 3 month contract.

Deputy team manager duties include:
- Management, co-ordination and leadership of the dedicated team in the absence of line manager.
- Undertake supervision of specified team members in accordance with the supervision and appraisal policy.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of all cases and projects held by supervisees.
- Ensuring supervisees work within relevant legislation, guidance and department procedures.
- Set and monitor standards and performance in line with Departmental internal and external indicators with supervisees.

Requirements of the deputy team manager:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience with children's services
- DTM experience for at least 2 years
- Need to have worked in localities previously so they have front line experience and be able to manage large caseloads and work in a very busy environment
