    Description

    Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Consultant Social Worker to work full-time within a Children with Disabilities Team based in Hemel Hempstead.

    The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice and be registered with the HCPC.

    The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is £39,782 to £42,683 per annum.

    Job Purpose:
    - 0-25 Together Service is a specialist service for disabled children, young people, young adults and their families. We focus on keeping citizens safe, enabling their independence and ensuring that they can take part in their local community. We are a service motivated by and dedicated to continuously improving health and social care practice. We aim is to support our citizens to be an influential and active member of their community by promoting true citizenship. Our practitioners strive to engage people, partners and providers to take part and self-direct their support.

    Duties:
    - Your role will be to work collaboratively with, Health and Education colleagues, supporting children and young people who need personalised care and support to keep healthy and safe.
    - As a Consultant Social Worker, you will be an advanced practitioner, HCPC registered social worker, acting as a mentor and co-worker alongside your team, offering a wealth of experience and expertise.
    - As part of this role, you will be required to travel to other HCC Sites/Residences' either using your own mode of transport or a company car.

    Requirements of the Social Worker:
    - Degree or equivalent in social work
    - Current HCPC registration
    - A minimum of 2 years post qualifying UK experience
    - Recognised and relevant professional qualification e.g. DipSW, CQSW, CSS.
    - You will have at least 3+ years of experience of safeguarding children and have knowledge of social care law and how it relates to young disabled people.
    - Experience of multi-disciplinary working.
    - Ability to drive and/or travel around the County is required for this role.
