Consultant Social Worker, Children and Families, Long Term

Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated consultant social worker to work full time within a children and families long term team based in Hackney. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum consultant social worker job is to be confirmed and is an initial 3 month contract.

Consultant Social Worker duties include:
- To manage the social work unit and to prioritise and allocate tasks and responsibilities within the unit in line with departmental objectives
- To provide guidance and direction to social workers, children's practitioners and administrative officer regarding case work
- To work closely with therapists assigned to the social work unit, take clinical advice and use this advice to direct social work activity within the unit

Requirements of the consultant social worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience with children's services
