    Sanctuary Social Care currently has a permanent vacancy for an experienced and dedicated Consultant Practitioner to work full-time in a Mental Health Team based in Southend. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work practice in Adult Services and be registered with the HCPC.

    The salary for this permanent Consultant Practitioner role is £41,846 per annum.

    The key responsibilities of the post are:
    - To lead on mental health social work practice for Southend.
    - To be an Approved Mental Health Professional under the Mental Health Act (1983).
    - To support the leadership, management/supervision and performance of the integrated social work response within adult community mental health services with the aim to deliver appropriate support in the right place at the right time.
    - Using a strengths'-based perspective demonstrating the aspirations of 2050, inspire their team to engage in innovative practice via modelling best practice and a visionary approach to create a better Southend.
    - The postholder will have a key role in the Partnership and as such be a member of Essex Partnership University Trust's Social Care Leadership team, to support the integrated mental health social work.

    Requirements of the Consultant Practitioner:
    - Degree or equivalent in Social Work.
    - Current HCPC registration.
    - Significant senior level frontline experience within Adult Services.
    - To be successful in this position you need to be a post 3 years qualified social worker with previous mental health experience.
    - Have worked at a senior practitioner/team manager level with supervisory/managerial responsibility - experience in managing budgets would be desirable.
