Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Child Protection Chair/Independent Reviewing Officer to work part-time in Medway.

The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work Practice in Children's Services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum Child Protection Chair/Independent Reviewing Officer job is £41 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.

Job description:
- To ensure the provision of an efficient service to children and young people in need of protection.
- To ensure efficient and effective inter-agency working in respect of the child protection system.
- To constructively challenge actions and interventions that are not delivering the required outcomes for children and young people.
- To contribute to quality assurance measures and performance management systems to maintain and promote high practice standards.
- To chair child protection conferences within statutory timescales facilitating the full participation of professionals, parents and young people, and ensuring the views of children and young people are heard and given due attention.

Requirements of the Child Protection Chair/Independent Reviewing Officer:
- Degree or equivalent in Social Work
- Current HCPC registration
- 2 years' experience in a similar post
- Must be a car driver
