Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Child Protection Chair/Independent Reviewing Officer to take on a permanent position and work full-time in Swindon. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The salary for this permanent Child Protection Chair/Independent Reviewing Officer is £38,437 - £50,337 per annum.

Purpose of this role:
- The primary response of the Child Protection Chair and Independent Reviewing Officer is to ensure that the statutory functions required within Child Protection Conferences and Child Looked After Reviews are delivered in a robust way, that a high quality service is delivered and that there is adequate, monitoring and development to drive service improvement
- Ensure that children/young people are consulted and participate in their looked after children reviews, conferences and meetings
- Ensure that the minutes and records of meetings are accurate, meet statutory and legal requirements and are available and distributed within the required timescales

Requirements of the Child Protection Chair and Independent Reviewing Officer:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
