Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 7 Mental Health Team Leader to work in a Duty and Intervention Team in Guernsey. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work practice in Adult Services and be registered with the HCPC.

The salary for this Permanent Team Leader job is £38,055 to £50,172 per annum.

Requirements of the Team Leader:
- Degree or equivalent in Social Work.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Significant frontline experience within Adult Services.
- To be aware of and adhere to the HSC policies, procedures and protocols in relation to appropriate working practices.
- Manage a multi-disciplinary team whilst ensuring the delivery of best practice and evidence-based care.
- Ensure record systems are maintained in accordance with HSC policies and professional standards. This will include IT systems such as TRAK and hard copy data collection.
- Undertake or delegate all relevant Governance reporting and associated audits.
- Bring to the attention of the Service Manager any operational problems and difficulties as they arise, whether these have been resolved and make regular reports on progress towards the agreed objectives.
- Report untoward occurrences, accidents and complaints to the Service Manager, taking any appropriate management action and completing the necessary documentation.

Duties:
- Ensuring that service users have appropriate and timely assessments of their risks and clinical needs and that those charged with undertaking assessment and intervention of care do so in a manner that is robust and in accordance with evidence-based practice.
- Manage resources in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- In consultation and collaboration with peers and Service Manager the post holder will contribute to or lead on designated work streams relevant to the service such as policy review and safety and quality initiatives. The post holder will be responsive and innovative and always inclusive of DaIT colleagues when considering new ways of working.
