Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Assistant Team Manager to work within a Contact and Mash Team based in Aylesbury. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this Permeant Assistant Team Manager job is £41,586 to £46,159 per annum.

The Assistant Team Manager is responsible for contributing to the management overview and decision making by:
-Promoting the safety and wellbeing of children and young people
- Improving children and young people's life chances and outcomes in the care of their parents, or other carers
- Assisting with leading, managing and supervising social work practice
- Assessing, planning, delivering and reviewing social work services
- Assuring the quality of practice, managing performance and delivering value for money
- Assistant Team Managers will support the Team Manager to lead, manage and supervise social workers and allied staff delivering statutory services to children and young people in need of support, protection and care.
- To assist the Team Manager in maintaining a clear management overview and decision making process in relation to statutory social work assessments and services, in line with agreed local thresholds.

Requirements of the Assistant Team Manager:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
- Demonstrable post qualification continual professional learning & development
- Experience of supervising staff within a statutory children's social work setting.
- Able to undertake workload and case management reviews.
