    Description

    Sanctuary Executive is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Assistant Director for Lifelong Learning & Culture to work full-time based in Surrey.

    The pay rate for this locum job is £650 - £750 per day (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3 -month contract.

    Duties:
    - Develop an overarching strategy for lifelong learning, utilising the resources in the community to ensure maximum impact in respect of strengthening communities, supporting vulnerable people and good mental health wellbeing.
    - Develop and deliver high quality education to children, young people and adults through a range of programmes, alternative provision and adult and community learning.
    - Contribute to collective leadership of the council, working collaboratively across the organisation and with partners and stakeholders to support delivery of great services to residents.
    - Develop an overarching strategy for lifelong learning to include early years through to adult and community learning, to enhance opportunity for all, well-being and economic prosperity through skills development.
    - Work with partners, the voluntary and community sector and county teams to ensure services are delivered that support the overarching strategy.
    - Develop strategy and approach to delivering cultural services (libraries, arts and heritage) sustainably, to enhance provision through a range of innovative approaches and in order to meet local need.
    - Identify and maximise resources in the community to support delivery of the cultural services strategy, ensure they positively impact in respect of strengthening communities, supporting vulnerable people and good mental health wellbeing.
    - Develop and deliver provision of education to targeted groups through a range of programmes and through adult and community learning service which is self-sustaining.
    - Provide a range of educational services through Surrey Outdoor Learning, Duke of Edinburgh co-ordination and Active Surrey to promote opportunity for all children including those who are looked after and with additional vulnerability or disadvantage.
    - Lead on commercial approaches to delivery of services across education, lifelong learning and culture, accessing grant and community funding to support delivery of the county priorities.
    - Promote apprenticeships across the county, within educational providers and through learning opportunities.
