Case Study: Peterborough City Council

Client: James Fordham, Peterborough City Council

Job Title: Recruitment & Retention Officer for Children’s Services

Consultant: Craig Davis, Tom Loomes

Began working with Sanctuary: 2011

At Peterborough City Council, we have a framework of 8 providers who are able to supply us with social work professionals. Sanctuary has been part of this framework since 2011 and has supplied us with social workers, team managers and Heads of Services.

Throughout this time, I have been impressed with Sanctuary’s fast response times and efficiency – whatever the requirements; they have kept me updated with any progress.  I have worked closely with Craig Davis and it is clear that there are efficient processes in place, which ensure they are able to find the right candidates for us.

Craig has a tremendous knowledge of the social work sector and he has always listened closely to what we have had told him. From our perspective, having a single point of contact has made things so much easier but it’s also clear that communication is shared throughout the Sanctuary team as Tom Loomes has seamlessly picked up any activity whenever Craig has been away from the office. This has made our recruitment processes go much smoother and has helped manage both the quantity and quality of CV’s submitted.

Sanctuary is different to other providers due to the size of their database. Not only does this allow them to suggest the most appropriate candidates, but they offer a consistent and honest service. I believe that Sanctuary have a good working relationship with their locum staff and on the rare occasions that issues have occurred, they have reacted promptly and taken onboard any comments provided by Peterborough City Council.
