Candidate: Leanne Hughes

Began working with Sanctuary: 2009

My career with Sanctuary first began in 2009, when I was searching for a role as a social work assistant.

I came across Sanctuary when doing a job search online, and I was very impressed with the fast response from the team. It was a very simple application process - once I had completed a straight-forward application form, Sanctuary handled everything else. This made things so much easier, and I could trust that the agency would ensure they had all the necessary paperwork. They have also been incredibly proactive about making sure that everything was up-to-date, and have regularly reminded me when I was due to renew my CRB (now DBS) or other necessary documentation.

Although I am currently working within adult social care, I did have previous experience of working within children’s services and throughout my time with Sanctuary, my consultant Jay Carr has looked at all of my background information when placing me for jobs. As a result, I’ve built up a fantastic relationship with him and I know that anytime I need some help or advice, he will always be on the end of the phone.

Jay has always gone above and beyond to place me in roles quickly; in one instance I was involved in a car accident that meant I could no longer have a long commute to work. Within a week, he had found me a placement much closer to home which was a big relief.

My experience working with Sanctuary has been absolutely faultless and I would recommend them to anybody who is thinking about starting agency work.
