What are social workers’ priorities for the new government?

With a general election coming in May and social care being one of the key campaigning platforms for the political parties, we were interested to hear what social workers themselves think about current and future policy. How has the current coalition government fared? What should be the main priorities for the new government?

Focusing on a wide range of issues, from recruitment to improving professional standards, we gave professionals across the UK an opportunity to air and share their informed views in our national survey.

Take a look at our report, ‘The UK General Election 2015’, based on the findings from the survey.

For a comparative look at what the major political parties have pledged for the profession so far, see our general election special edition of Sanctuary Social Work News magazine
