Adding up the final number of pledges from employees at Sanctuary Personnel, we’re proud to say that our ‘Buy a Breakfast’ fundraiser, organised by MD James Rook in aid of the Nepal earthquake relief efforts, has been a huge success. With Sanctuary Personnel match-funding the £982 donated by employees, the total raised amounts to just under £2,000.

The ‘Buy a Breakfast’ fundraiser saw staff join together to show their support by purchasing a £5 breakfast, with the funds being deducted from this month’s payroll. As a cause close to a number of peoples’ hearts, many chose to donate additional funds from their pay.

The funds raised will further help the huge logistical challenges faced by those trying to get aid through to some of the worst-affected areas of Nepal. Aid is now required across more than 60 villages, camps and towns across 17 districts where an estimated 8 million people have been affected.

To further help the relief effort for those children affected by the earthquake, a clothes and blankets collection point was set up by our facilities and resource management department. Several bags full of invaluable clothing items have since been dropped off at an Ipswich collection point ready to be transported to Nepal.
